Islamabad: The Pakistan Supreme Court-appointed Joint Investigation Team (JIT), which is probing the Panama Papers case, has informed the country`s apex court that not only have some governmental departments shown reluctance in handing over relevant records, but some records have also been tampered with.

The Supreme Court bench overseeing the implementation of the Panama Papers verdict was hearing various issues surrounding the investigation on Monday, the Dawn reported.

As per reports, the JIT also dismissed the allegations levelled against it in connection with the `leaking` of a CCTV image of Hussain Nawaz`s appearance before the team.

The JIT has reportedly told the court that a disciplinary action has been taken against one individual suspected of involvement in leaking the image.

The bench ordered the attorney general and the legal team representing Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif`s elder son, Hussain Nawaz, to submit their replies to the allegations levelled by the JIT by June 14.

Justice Justice Ejaz Afzal said that video recording of the interrogation by the JIT was allowed under Section 162.
