Ambedkar Nagar is one of the 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi and it falls in the South District. Ambedkar Nagar seat was created during the delimitation exercise in 2008. It is a part of the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, which also includes nine other assembly segments: Bijwasan, Sangam Vihar, Chhatarpur, Deoli, Kalkaji, Tughlakabad, Palam, Badarpur, and Mehrauli.
